Ladies and gentlemen,
It is my great honor to stand here today as the Director General of Women’s Effect initiative international.
This organization is a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change, dedicated to empowering women and girls/boys worldwide.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to unlock the full potential of women and girls, and to create a more just and equitable world for all. We believe that women’s empowerment is the key to unlocking sustainable development, economic growth, and social progress.
We are committed to addressing the persistent gender gaps that continue to hinder women’s progress. We will work to:
- Close the education gap, so that every child has access to quality education and can reach their full potential.
- Close the economic gap, so that women have equal access to decent work, equal pay for equal work, and equal opportunities for entrepreneurship and leadership.
- Close the health gap, so that women and girls have access to comprehensive healthcare, including reproductive healthcare and mental health services.
- Close the political gap, so that women have equal representation in politics and decision-making positions.
We will not do this alone. We will partner with governments, civil society organizations, the private sector, and individuals like you, who share our vision and our commitment.
Together, we can create a world where women and girls are not just survivors, but thrivers. A world where they are not just victims, but victors. A world where they are not just statistics, but success stories.
We will work with men and boys, who are crucial allies in our quest for gender equality. We will challenge harmful gender stereotypes and social norms that perpetuate discrimination and inequality.
We will support women’s movements and amplify women’s voices, because we know that women are the best advocates for their own rights and interests.
We will use data and evidence to inform our work, because we know that what gets measured gets done.
We will hold ourselves and others accountable for results, because we know that accountability is the key to progress.
Let us join forces to make this vision a reality. Let us work together to create a brighter future for all.
